Bathroom redesign

Many home owners are opting to re-model their homes as rising home prices, higher interest rates and low inventory have made a home re-model a more practical and cost effective option than purchasing a new or newer home. The materials and technology available today are a huge change from the past and home owners want to upgrade to these new trends. We see the following:
  1. Increase shower size with two shower heads and body sprays. Smart showers with built in blue tooth speakers. Showers have larger tiles with smaller grout lines. Numerous new Tile Patterns and Shapes. Hexagon, Arabesque, Diamond, Moroccan fish scales or Chevron patterns in new colors and textures.
  2. Technology is being incorporated into many new bathroom designs: Wireless music systems, cooling and warming systems, warming drawers for linens and robes, smart showers and sinks and voice activation for lighting and temperature.
  3. Asymmetrical Smart Mirrors (above). Unique and geometric mirror shapes are in.
  4. Replace soaking tubs with free standing tubs
  5. Floating Bathroom Vanities – gone are lower cabinet makeup vanities.
  6. Smart Toilets are in. Increased Television installations
  7. Modern bathrooms are being transformed into personalized day spas.
  8. Wood accents are back and they are trendier. Gray is becoming less and less as warmer earthy tones in accents are trending. However, Grey is still successfully being used in many projects
  9. Quartz counter tops still compliment the modern trends in a bathroom.

Most home owners have a very hard time making the decisions on incorporating the above in their remodel. In addition most home owners will not incorporate many of the above trends but they can remodel their bathroom simply by changing floors, tiles and/or cabinets with new materials and space consolation. It not only increases the value of home but provides the much needed change to the home.

Capriccio Designs Linda Lipani listens to her clients and has an amazing ability to align all of their wants and needs into a uniquely custom installation that fits their budget. No project will be started without a complete understanding, by the home owner, the cost and final design of the project.

Let’s design together

One of the reasons we became interior designers in the first place was because we love collecting and then putting it all together. But when you’re designing your own house, the hardest thing is to finish it, as you’re always adding your next favourite thing, and finally there’s no space left.
